Philo Farnsworth

Philo Farnsworth was one of the earliest contributors to the television. He developed the first fully functional and completely electronic television system, completely without moving parts. Ironically, he appeared on television exactly once, as a mystery guest on a quiz show. He died on March 11, 1971, at age 64, by which time he had 300 patents to his name.
