Melba Roy Mouton

NASA considers Melba Roy Mouton to be one of its most celebrated scientists. While employed there, she served as Assistance Chief of Research Programs, head of the Data Systems Division, and head of Mission and Trajectory Analysis division. She managed the group of computers behind the Echo Satellites, for which she received an Apollo Achievement Award.
Mouton died of a brain tumor on June 25, 1990, at the age of 61.
